DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?'
Yes, our private fittings are by appointment only. This allows us to tailor your fitting without any interruptions providing a one to one service with our bridal stylists. Please use our online scheduler to book your appointment. You can of course email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you require a late night appointment which is out of hours, please email and we will try and make this happen for you.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I START SEARCHING FOR MY DRESS?'
We recommend you start searching for your dream gown 8-12 months before your wedding date. This is to ensure no rushed decisions are made when choosing ‘The One.” All of our gowns are made to order and take 5-7 months to be produced and delivered. This is before alterations are carried out.
WHAT DOES MADE TO ORDER MEAN?
Made-to-order means that there is no stock of your gown and the making of the gown begins once you place your order. The most important thing to note is that made-to-order gowns are ordered to the closest numerical dress size or S/M/L/XL sizing (dependent on designer), based on measurements taken at Ivy & White. The gown is not made to exact measurements (which is referred to as "made-to-measure"). In order to achieve the perfect fit, the bride must seek the assistance of a seamstress or tailor.
HOW LONG ARE APPOINTMENTS?'
Our private appointments are scheduled for an hour. This will involve a styling session with our stylist to help get a better idea of your style and fit. Then it’s the fun bit of trying on the gowns. If you’re having too much fun and spare time is required we can always book you in for a separate appointment, or a follow up appointment.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
We do love a party, and as much as we want the wedding celebrations to begin as you search for your dress, we find a large entourage can sometimes make the experience overwhelming for our bride. We recommend that you bring your nearest and dearest to help you choose your gown. We want this experience to be about you, for you to remember. If you are going to bring more than four people please give us a heads up so we can ensure your time here is as comfortable as possible.
WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR SAMPLE GOWNS?
Our dress samples range between a 10-12 and vary with each designer. Please note that your custom gown can be ordered up to a size 18. We have creative ways to pin you in each gown to give you the best idea of what your dress will look like in whichever size you order.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A GOWN WITH IVY & WHITE?
Your initial appointment will include a tailored styling session allowing you to dress up in our gorgeous gowns. We want you to have as much fun as possible with drinks and fun music. If a made to order purchase is made, we will take your measurements and order the closest size to these measurements. We will require a 50% deposit with the remaining balance paid 4 weeks before shipping. We will then see you back again when your dress arrives for another fitting. You will then consult with a seamstress to do any final adjustments required.
DO YOU OFFER/INCLUDE ALTERATIONS?
Alternations are a separate cost from the purchase of your gown. We have sourced several highly reputable seamstresses which we can recommend for you. However, we do not offer in-house alterations. Please note, we are not in contractual agreements with our recommended seamstresses, nor do we receive any payment from them for your business.
RETURN AND EXCHANGES
Made-to-order gowns, accessories and lingerie are all final sale. Once a made-to-order gown is paid for, you are in a contractual agreement to follow through with the gown chosen.
